In a significant development, the management of the ‘Rising Pune Supergiants‘ team has modified the name to ‘Rising Pune Supergiant.’ According to sports enthusiasts, the change in the name will bring new fortunes for the team. Recently, the Pune team management removed Captain Cool MS Dhoni and included the touring Australian captain Steve Smith as the captain.

The Pune team is all set to improve their chances of winning the coveted title in the upcoming edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL), which will begin on April 5. Before the start of the inaugural match, there will be a spectacular opening ceremony where you can see popular Bollywood stars.

In a statement given to the media, the official spokesperson of the Pune team disclosed that the change in the name has nothing to do with superstitions. The change is based on a feedback gathered from the Fans and there is no superstition involved.

Last year we were looking at four to five players in the squad who had super giant abilities. While we were preparing for this IPL, we thought why just a few players, the entire team is Supergiant. So, that is why we decided to go with Supergiant this time

In the 9th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL), Pune managed to win five games and lost nine matches to reach seventh spot despite the presence of the popular players such as Dhoni. The main problem in 2016 was that the team had to eliminate Mitchell Marsh, Kevin Pietersen, and Faf du Plessis during the crucial stage due to injuries.

The Pune team will kickstart the 10th edition of the IPL with Mumbai Indians on April 6. We look forward towards a great IPL season. We will continue to provide updates. Stay tuned with NewsBuzzer.
